Top box fitted on top of combi boiler (can only be fitted with some makes of combi) can be used an alternative to solar panels, it has been proven by independent testing to show domestic hot water savings of up to 37% and can reduce gas consumption by up to 52% a year. Our engineers have fitted many gas savers on new installations, they are easy to fit, maintenance free, silent in operation, a great bit of kit.
How it works:
- First it stores the condensate normally expelled into the atmosphere through the boiler flue
- Then, heat from this condensate is recyled to pre-heat water coming into the boiler from the cold mains supply
- This significantly reuces the amout of gas required to heat the water via the boiler
- The ammount of energy needed for the boiler to meet household demands is therefore reduced bringing lower energy builds and a greater ecological efficeincy
