Combi boilers:

this boiler is different from other types of boiler in the need to store hot water is eliminated making a hot water cylinder unnecessary.

Advantages: it is a compact boiler normally located in a kitchen; space is saved due to the lack of a cylinder and associated controls. The major advantages of this type of boiler are the monetary savings (no stored hot water) no tanks in loft, less pipe work, instant hot water at mains pressure.

Disadvantage: there is really one disadvantage to these boilers, if you have poor water pressure your hot water pressure will also be poor but on a survey a decent engineer should point this out, if you have more than one shower then a high kw combi will be required, if you have 3-4 showers then a different type of system will be required.

Boiler Upgrades

When we carry out boiler upgrades a full survey will be carried out in advance; this survey consists of:

  • The Position of the Flue
  • The specifications of the gas pipe
  • If the thermostatic radiator valves need upgrading
  • Locating the position of the High Efficiency Programmable Roomstat or standard Roomstat
  • Determining if the system needs a power-flush
  • What type of heating system and hot water storage they require

During our installations we use only the most economical and efficient boilers which all come with a 2-7 year guarantee. We use the below manufacturers in our installations:

  • Baxi – Boilers
  • Honeywell – Control Systems
  • Honeywell – Thermostatic Radiator Valves
  • Fernox – Power-flushing Chemicals
  • Fernox – TFI Filter

All of our systems also use high-quality copper pipes in order to ensure efficiency.

All of our engineers carry a price list with them, a form will be signed before work commences with the full price listed. Our office will be able to give you a price, alternatively you can look here.
